I was just telling my husband about Lunette and how much I enjoyed working as a waitress for her at the Bahou Container back in the 1970s. I worked in many restaurants where it wasn't always a pleasant experience, but Lunette was wonderful, and that little restaurant was amazing. I could never believe all the great food that Lunette could get out of that tiny kitchen, and I remember her sweet laugh. Everyone loved her blueberry nut bread, and Pamela would bring in all those other fantastic desserts (like the chocolate brandy apricot cake!) from the bakery.  People just loved the food. I remember the "fruit soup" and the cream of kasha soup and so many other things. It might have been the most harmonious place I ever worked. And my mother would always comment how good I smelled when I came home after a shift at the Container--all those spices in the air. I'm sorry to hear that Lunette passed before I had the sense to try to get in touch and tell her what a great boss and chef she was!

Ms. A, a gift to all of us at Knoxville College.  She made desserts for Bahou, the art teacher and Persian chef, before I met her.   I never heard her complain, and she worked the flower beds and lived in the women's dorm and kept it clean.  She collected African American art. 
 She organized a Christmas craft fair for "her" girls and made most of the items herself.  I have one of her crocheted snowflakes on my tree every year.  She was smart and kind and purposeful, and I miss her.  For all of us left behind, I wish for comfort in our memories.  I can still see her walking across campus, stopping now and then to chat or to make something look better.

We are sharing in your sorrow today over the loss of Auntie.  She was a special person who will always be remembered.

I will truly miss this gem!  Auntie was a one in a million.  I met her thru Ruby her sister and fell in love with her!  All I remember is one classy woman!  

You will be missed dearly! Love you Auntee.

Please accept my condolence for lost of our dear mother lunette .She was my advisor as a foreign student in 1974  In Knoxville College. She protected our interest. A very good lady with a good heart. May her soul Rest In Peace.
