Lora Dawn Rector

Lora Dawn Rector, age 48, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Lora enjoyed gardening, the Smoky Mountains, and her fur babies. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister and friend.

Lora was preceded in death by grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and JoAnn Rector and 2 siblings. She is survived by husband, Scott Rector; daughter and fiance, Emily Odom and Noah Stambaugh; special aunt and uncle, Fred and Sue Yadon; father, James (Joann) Yadon; mother, Deborah Atkins; sister, Shannon (Greg) Jones; brother, Jeffrey Lawson; brother-in-law, Lynn Rector; niece, several nephews, and cousins; special friends, John and Marie Rosati.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at UT Medical Center for their loving care of our beloved Lora.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11th from 5-7pm with funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Donnie Woods officiating. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 12th at 11am at Lynnhurst Cemetery, meeting at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel at 10:30am for procession to the graveside. Pallbearers to include: Jeffrey Lawson, Jacob Jones, Joshua Jones, Bryson Lawson, Dakota Lawson, and Noah Stambaugh.
