Denton, Lester Carl (Pooch) –age 62, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at U.T. Medical Center. Pooch was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of V.F.W. He was a special person and loved by all and remembered for his special smile. He was preceded in death by parents; Earl and Lillie Denton. Pooch is survived by daughters and son-in-law; Melissa Nichols (Greg Grubb), Angela Brown, Pamela and husband, Robin Farmer; grandchildren, Merissa, Rob, Matthew, Keegan (chosen one) and Dalton; brother, Roy E. Denton; sister, Betty Faye Denton; nephew, Chad Yoakum; ex-wife and friend, Regina Denton; and special pet, Duke. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with Rev. Beau Riffey and Rev. Becky Milligan officiating.
