Judith Ferrell, age 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1945 in Gulfport, Mississippi to parents, Robert J. and Mavis Kerns Yeiser.
Judy graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City and then attended Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Judy transferred to the University of Tennessee completing her under-graduate degree. She was accepted into the Masters Program at the UT and successfully completed the program. After completing her course work she was employed with several medical offices in Knoxville.
Judy and her husband, Jack, were avid boaters and owned numerous boats from Knoxville to Pickwick Lake in middle and West Tennessee. They spent a lot of time at Hilton head and in Florida. They traversed numerous locks, navigating the entire trip and return home on their own. Judy had a passion for books and enjoyed reading.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her younger brother, Thomas Kerns Yeiser. She is survived by her brothers, Bobby Yeiser (Valerie) and Edwin Yeiser; nephews, Will and Jay Yeiser.

A funeral service will be held for Judy on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1pm at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home.
