Jonell Gilbert age 86 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Monday, October 30, 2023. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Jonell loved the Lord and had daily Bible study with her sister Reva. She stayed busy at home keeping her house and yard perfect, talking on the phone to friends, several of them daily. She had a great sense of humor, made everyone that came around her feel at home and important. Jonell was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Potter; husband, Johnny Leatherwood; siblings, Ruthie, Dorothy, Rosie and Johnny. She is survived by daughter, Sherry Ghrist; granddaughter, Savannah Ghrist; sister, Reva Thompson; several nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
