John Yung Teng

John Yung Teng, Age 73, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center. He enjoyed reading the Bible, going to Church, going to the gym and working in the yard. John was employed by the Federal Government as an electrical engineer for 17 years before moving to this area in 2015 from Massachusetts, to be closer to their daughter. Preceded by, his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Survived by wife, Bea Yang Teng; son, Lenny Teng and wife Flora Sah, of Boston, MA; daughters, Edna Gergel of Knoxville and Melissa McCurry and husband Sonny, of Phoenix, AZ; two granddaughters, Jasmine Teng, of Boston, MA and Catherine Gergel, of Knoxville; grandson, Connor McCurry , of Phoenix, AZ; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many special friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 28, 2016, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Berry Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Blvd. with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm.
