John Merrit Jenkins Sr.

Jenkins Sr., John M. age 91 of Knoxville, TN passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and retired from the Aluminum Company of America. John was a life long servant of Christ and spent 55 years ministering with the Churches of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Frances Towe Jenkins; parents, Oscar and Emma Jenkins; eight siblings. John was a loving husband, generous and loving father and grandfather. He left behind a grateful family who will miss him. Son and daughter-in-law, John Jenkins Jr. and Lisa; grandchildren, John (Laura) Jenkins III, Jackson Wade (Tracy) Jenkins, Andrea Jenkins; great grandchildren, Addalynn, Hanna and Chloe; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10th from 1-2pm at Berry Highland Memorial on Kingston Pike with procession to Mausoleum for funeral service and entombment immediate following.
