John "Jack" Dill Jr.

Dill Jr., John "Jack" 72 of Powell, TN passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Jack was of the Catholic faith. He was a graduate of St. Edward High School. Jack obtained his Associates Degree in Accounting at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He was known for his sense of humor and generous spirit, always lending a helping hand to those in need. Family meant the world to Jack. He was originally from Cleveland, Ohio but made Tennessee his home. Jack owned his own business for over 20 years prior to working for Wal-Mart. His co-workers at Wal-Mart became his work family. Even after retirement, he wanted to stay active so he became a Lyft driver. Jack was a member of the Smoky Mountain Browns Backers and an avid sports fan. He loved to travel, obtained his certification as a scuba diver and enjoyed target shooting.

Jack was preceded in death by parents, John and Norma Dill, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Deborah Dill; daughter, Jaclyn Dill; siblings, Robert (Tammy) Dill, Richard (Lisa) Dill, James (Bridget) Dill, Jeffrey Dill, Thomas Dill; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 3-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home on Adair Dr. with funeral service following at 7pm. Rev. Keith Shown officiating. Interment service will take place Wednesday, February 3rd at Lynnhurst Cemetery meeting at the graveside at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm service with burial to follow.
