James Kevin Watkins

On September 23rd, 2023, Jesus called James “Kevin” Watkins home to join his heavenly family in Paradise. He was welcomed into heaven by his mother and father, Kathryn Watkins Schreyer and James Watkins, also there waiting for him were his nieces Melodie Barnett, and Gabby Watkins, his father in-law, Rick Starritt along with other family members and friends who have passed on as well as fur babies Emma, Spooky, Frosty and Max. Those lovingly remembering him here on Earth are his wife of 33 years, Marrita Watkins, his son Zachary James Watkins, his daughter-in-law Alexandra “Allie” Watkins, his beloved granddaughter Gracie Rose Watkins and his fur baby Sadie. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers Sean (Tammy) Watkins, Danny (Becky) Watkins, and his sister Wava Turner; His mother-in-law, Marcia (Rick) Starritt, His Sister-in-law Paulette (Bob) Schields, his best friend, Ralph (Penny) Geames, his nephews Chad (Jara) Barnett, Daniel Watkins, Sean Watkins Jr., Cody Schields, and Caden Watkins; His nieces, Jacie (Eric) Gambill, Kayla (Nick) Haggard, Skylar (Brandon) Watkins, and Krista Schields; and many other family members, friends and co-workers at Shoffner Kalthoff. In lieu of flowers, Kevin has requested donations be made for the family to take his Gracie Rose to Disney World to visit all of her princess friends! The Watkins 3 legacy is continued on by his son, his wife and their daughter.

Viewing services will be held at Weaver Funeral Home on Saturday September 30th, 2023 from 5-7 PM with funeral services following. The funeral will be officiated by his son Zachary. Kevin requested that you wear jeans and t-shirts as he didn't want everyone to dress up on his account!
