Miller, Ed (James Edgar), passed away on Wednesday, September 30 at Ft. Sander’s Hospital. Ed was born on May 15, 1928, in Knoxville, TN. He grew up in Knoxville, graduated from Knoxville High School and Gupton School of Mortuary Science in Nashville, TN. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Chapman Wholesale Drug Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Tarr Miller and Hoge Daniel Miller and brother, Daniel Hoge Miller. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Sue Beggs Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Kim Miller; Grandchildren: Jackson, Natalie, and Megan Miller; Sister Mary Miller Middlebrooks of Tallahassee, FL, Sister-in-law Martha Beggs Jenkins (Don) of Riverdale, GA. Ed was a member of Central Baptist Church, Fountain City, the Moulders Sunday School Class and Fountain City Lions Club. His hobby was photography and he enjoyed sharing his love for taking pictures with his friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Berry Lynnhurst Chapel, 2300 Adair Dr. Memorial service conducted by Rev. Ron Mouser will follow at 3 p.m. followed by burial at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jackson Miller, Bryson Baker, Cole Cooper, Isaac Cooper, Taylor Everett, Cameron Graham, and Bryson Newman. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fountain City Lions Club and the Moulders Sunday School Class.
