James Earl Humphries, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Earl was born August 9, 1929 in Knoxville, TN. He was a life long member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. Earl worked as a butcher for most of his life and retired from X10 at Oak Ridge.
He was preceded in death by wife, Abbie Humphries; daughter, Vickie Reagan; parents, Bernie and Bessie Humphries; 7 siblings.
Earl is survived by daughter, Lori (Chuck) Pearcy; grandson, Christopher (Elizabeth) Pearcy; 3 great grandchildren, Tyler, Noah and Khloe; sister, Geneva Rippy; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 26th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place Thursday, January 27th meeting at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918 at 10:45am for an 11:00am service. Mr. Dave Gaddis to officiate.
