James McGhee Cox, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away January 1, 2022. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Amanns Cox; parents, McGhee Hobert and Margaret Christine Scarlett; brother, Ralph Edward Cox; sister, Barbara Jean Munsey; daughter-in-law, Linda Gail Barnes Cox. Survived by son, Ronald Wade Cox; daughter, Laurie Ann Cox Stevens ( Lindsay ); grandchildren, Ronda Gail Bond (Austin), Traci Michelle Graham; great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Paige Graham, Levi Jaren Bond and Elijah Wyatt Graham; sister, Judy Lynn Cox Crumpley (Wade) and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm with service to follow. Rev. Mark Keith officiating.
