James Charles "Jim" Coleman, age 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 8, 2018. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN. J.C. was a WWII veteran of the United States Army.
Jim is preceded in death by his first wife Juanita Hardin Coleman, parents Oscar and Neva Coleman, sisters Lorene Majors, Jane Valentine and Verneta Wille.
Survivors include his wife Janelle Coleman, daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Phil Raby, grandchildren Justin Raby (Lindsey), Jared Raby (Sara), Beth Underwood (Justin), eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by six step-children, 27 step-grandchildren, brother-in-law Pastor Ted Wille, sister-in-law Dr. Louise Gann, many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 11, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church, 1700 W. Beaver Creek Drive, Powell, TN, 37849 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastors Jared Raby, John Wilkerson, Matt Wilkerson, Mark Wilkerson, Luke Wilkerson and Dr. Clarence Sexton. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 12:30 pm at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville,TN, 37919 for a 1 pm Graveside Service.
