Mr. Hubert Oscar Johnson Jr.

JOHNSON, HUBERT OSCAR, "BUD" JR. - age 71 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at St. Mary's Campbell County. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired from Rohm and Haas. Bud was an Eagle Scout and the most decorated scout in the nation for 2 years in a row and received a God and Country Honor Award. He was an avid golfer, swimming instructor and loved hiking. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Frances Johnson and sister, Barbara Williamson. Survived by son, and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jessica Johnson; daughters, Melanie Johnson and Missi Johnson Kirk and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Lauren and Matthew Jones and Josh Kirk; brother, George David Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Doris J. and Carl Cooper; mother of his children, Judith Ann Johnson; mother-in-law, Nannie Moore; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday at Weaver's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America.
