H.R. "Buddy" Greene Jr.

H.R. "Buddy" Greene, Jr. of Seymour, TN, passed away on January 31, 2021 in Archdale, NC at the age of 79. Buddy was a longtime member of Seymour United Methodist Church and gave of his time and talents to the Lord, his family, church and community for most of his life. He served at C.R.O.S.S. Ministries, Seymour Friends of the Library; and was a member of the Lion's Club, Masons, and Shriner's. Buddy was also a US Army Veteran. He exemplified a life of service and integrity, and did all with a humble spirit. He will always be remembered for his generosity, work ethic and caring attitude.

Buddy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Gann Greene and parents, H.R. Greene, Sr. and Willie Ellen Greene. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his son, Scott Greene and wife Barb of Archdale, NC; daughter, Paula Hendren and husband Reavis, of Archdale, NC; granddaughters, Beth Greene of Durham, NC and Anna Greene of Gulfport, MS; and many other extended family and special friends.

A Visitation will be held at Berry HIghland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Saturday, February 6th from 3:00pm-8:00pm, with social distancing measures in place. Family and friends will gather at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Sunday, February 8th at 3:00pm for his Graveside Service, Pastor Paul Seay officiating.
