McNew, Helen Lane, age 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, February, 13, 2016. Helen was a lifelong member of Colonial Heights Methodist Church. She retired from the University of Tennessee Alumni Office. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. McNew, II; son, Joe B. McNew, III; brothers, Bud and John; sisters, Mary and Theresa. Survived by her sister-in-law, Evelyn R. Wood; niece, Glenis Wood Stevens (Eddie); great-niece, Kaitlyn Marie Moore. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Williamsburg Villas and Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will be meeting Saturday at 11:00 AM February, 20, 2016 for a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Daniel Ogle will be officiating the service.
