Gregory Alan Shankles, age 48, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016. He was a Knoxville News Sentinel carrier, an avid Vols fan, and Nascar racing fan. Preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Eva Hethcock and Grant and Effie Shankles. Survived by daughters, Kinsey and Kiley Shankles; parents, Bill and Sue Shankles; brother, Rick (Cathy) Shankles; niece, Kaitlyn (Chris) Taylor; great nephews, Braxton and Parker Taylor; aunt, Wilma Sue Fox and special friend, Greg Holloway and also the mother of his children, Keely; several cousins. The family will receive from 5:30 – 7:30 pm Thursday with a chapel service to follow with Rev. Ronnie White officiating at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Friday for the graveside service at 11 am at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
