Gene Everett Bell, age 65, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Oak Ridge Hospital of complications from multiple chronic illnesses. Gene was a lifelong resident of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Gene was a character, a force to be reckoned with. Everyone loved Gene; you had to love Gene. He was so funny and could spin a yarn like nobody else. Gene was a very kind and gentle soul. He LOVED dogs, that says a lot about a man. Gene had varied interests, he was knowledgeable on most subjects. He loved bluegrass and country music and liked some 70's pop and Classic Rock and Roll. Before his health prevented it, he loved motorcycle riding, camping and fishing. He was always up for an adventure and mayhem.
Here is a line or two from a favorite song of his "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks. Listen to it when you get a chance...
"We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun. But the wine and the song like the seasons have all gone."
Gene, your glass may be empty now and your songs silent, but you will never be forgotten and will always be loved forever. RIP Gene.
