Gary Fleming, age 77, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. Gary was born in Virgie, Kentucky. He proudly served our country as a Sgt. in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He is preceded in death by parents Andrew and Irene Fleming; sisters: Rhonda Mullins of Ohio and Glenda Little of Virgie, KY and brother, Ricky Fleming of Virgie, KY.

Gary is survived by son, Chris Fleming; grandson, Christian Chase Fleming; life partner, Emma Scarbro; sister, Loretta Muncy and brother, Danny "Pete" Fleming, both of Virgie, KY.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 between the hours of 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Gov. John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville for a 10:00 AM Committal Service officiated by Rev. Paul Owenby. Gary requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd, Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
