Gail Harmon Gregory, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was a 1955 graduate of Young High School. After graduation, she married and pursued her dream of raising a family. After raising her family, Gail went to work in the printing business, where she rose to the position of manager for two different companies. She continued her career at the U.T. Graphic Arts Department until she retired in 1998. Gail enjoyed an active church life, especially singing and leading worship at Vestal United Methodist Church. Gail was known for her baking skills, baking each family member their favorite cake for their birthday. Her lifelong dream of being a mom extended to all of the neighborhood children, and the friends of her children. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lelia Harmon; daughter, Melonie Ann Gregory; her siblings, Mildred, Orville, Christine, Zana, and Don; and her ex husband, Owen Wesley Gregory. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Gregory; son-in-law, Jim Varner; son, Brett Gregory; daughter-in-law, Dawn Gregory; grandchildren, Alex Gregory and Heather Varner. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, December 29, 2021 for an 11:00 am interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
