Dwight was born to Bennie and Ruby Anthony on July 22, 1949, in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving three tours in the Vietnam War. In later years, he was a devoted member of the West Knoxville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His commitment to serve Jehovah remained genuine and steadfast for the duration of his life. He showed this by his participation in the Christian Ministry through letter writing. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, watching football, and listening to music.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bennie Anthony; mother, Ruby Anthony; sisters, Collette Anthony, Pamela Anderson, and Valerie Younger. He is survived by his brothers, Kevin Anthony and Vincent Anthony; sister, Cynthia Anthony; sons, Christian Anthony, Dwight Anthony Jr, Tony Anthony, and Marcus Anthony; daughters, Dominique Scalamera and Cassandra Watley; and many grand & great-grandchildren.
