Clifford Eugene Davis, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at home on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mr. Davis served in the US Navy before becoming a diesel mechanic. He retired from Knox City and Knox County schools as a vocational administrator.
Preceded in death by father, Bruce Davis; mother, Ellena Davis; and sister Myra Faye Byrd. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise Boatright Davis; sons, Jeff (Vickie) Davis and Marvin (Rhonda) Davis; 8 grandchildren, Steven (Danielle) Davis, Chad (Chelsea), Kevin (Laura) Davis, Meigan (Haden) Scott, Michael (Krystal) Thomas, John (Adria) Thomas, Jade Thomas and Tori Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren, Braden Davis, Caroline Davis, Palmer Davis, Elliot Davis, Graham Davis, Grayson Scott, Ella Scott, Peyton Thomas, Charlotte Thomas, Noelle Thomas and Michael Thomas Jr; and special friend Jeff McCurry.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home (2300 W. Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918) with funeral service following at 7:00 pm, Rev. Bruce Marston, officatating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville, TN (899 East Main Street Rogersville TN 37857) Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm for the Interment.
