Charles “Pete” Merriman, age 94 of Knoxville, passed away on May 18, 2016. He was a member of Pratt’s Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Merita Bread Company. Preceded in death by his wife, Leda Ruth Merriman; parents, Sherman and Jennie Merriman; brothers, Tom, Wes, and Clyde; sister, Geneva Naill; and son-in-law, Conard Ogle. He is survived by his son, Jeff Merriman; daughters, Carol Ogle, Janet Merriman, and Judi (Don) Ledford. Family will receive friends at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow.
