CHARLES C. MASSENGILL age 81 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Summit View Farragut. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by father, Raymond Massengill; mother, Gladys Miller; sisters, Maxine Ferguson and Louise Worsham; brother, Don Massengill. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Massengill; son, Chuck Massengill; half-sister, Janet Beavers; brothers-in-law, Jack Ferguson and Millard Floyd; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Jr. Haynes and Ed White. A special thanks to Beth and Lisa with Caris Hospice and to Summit View of Farragut for their wonderful care. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm, Pastor Clyde Haynes officiating.
