Charles Arthur Hodges

Hodges, Charles (Arthur), Pappaw, age 73 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2010 due to an accident. Arthur was a member of Forest Grove Freewill Baptist Church but attended Southside Baptist Church. He retired after 40 years of service at Bell South. A loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Margaret Hodges; infant daughter, Robin Faye Hodges and sister, Carolyn Hodges. He is survived by wife of 52 years, Faye (Julian) Hodges; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Sharon Hodges; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanna and Darryl Ross; grandchildren, Jacob, Jaden and Hunter; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Helen Scruggs; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at NHC, Dr. Walter Zibas, and the nurses on the 8th floor at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Forest Grove Cemetery on Monday, September 20, 2010 for a 1:00 PM interment service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Forest Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
