CHARLES EDWARD BUFFALO age 59 of Knoxville, a lifelong resident of Karns, passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, November 25, 2011. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and employed 41 years for West Knox Utility District and was a board member of Karns Volunteer Fire Department. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and papaw and will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Rutha Buffalo; sisters, Linda Jean and Louise Buffalo. Survived by his loving wife Barbara Buffalo; son, Eddie Buffalo and wife Denise; daughter, April Downward and husband Steve; granddaughters, Abigail Buffalo, Kyrah Kay Downward, Kalynna Downward, Allie Buffalo and grandson, Chancelor Arden; sisters, Becky Lloyd and husband Sonny, Kathy Gregory and husband Jay; brothers, Robert Buffalo, Bill Buffalo and wife Rhonda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol Holloway, Buddy Carr and wife Arlene and James Carr and wife Diane; many special nieces, nephews and special family and friends. In lieu of flowers and gifts, all donations may be made in honor of Charles to cover medical expenses for granddaughter, Kalynna. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Monday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm. Rev. David Hicks officiating. Family and friends will meet at Weaver Funeral Home Tuesday 10:00 am to travel in procession to Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery for the 11:00 am interment.
