Carol Elaine Smith

Carol Elaine Woods Smith joined our Heavenly Father on May 11, 2018 at the age of 67, after a hard fought battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by all of her family, friends, and anyone that encountered her kind and gracious spirit. She was a dedicated attendee of Riverview Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, Florida with her loving husband of 36 years, Oliver A. Smith, III. Carol lived a full and adventurous life, from big game hunting to deep water sport fishing, and went on to win numerous sporting clay tournaments throughout the Southeast. She was an accomplished artist and avid crafter, and loved spending time on her beautiful landscaping at their home on North Hutchinson Island, Florida. She was very passionate about everything she did and was relentless in the giving of her personal time and love to any of those that were in need. Carol was wonderful with her dogs, Corky and Bear. Throughout her life, she set aside her own needs to provide unconditional love to her husband, sisters and brothers, nephews and nieces, parents, stepson, and her grandchildren, placing their happiness and welfare first, never failing to live by Christ’s Golden Rule.

Preceded in death by her father, Carl Woods; brothers Roy and David Woods and nephew Kelley Rose.

Survived by her husband, Oliver A. Smith, III; stepson, Oliver A. Smith, IV (Sarah); grandchildren, Olivia and Crosse Smith; mother, Dot Woods; sister, Patty Kilbourne (Kim); nephews, Cory Woods and Travis Kilbourne; niece, Diana Seiber; sister-in-law, Brenda Woods and a host of special cousins.
