You were like a big brother to me for many years Leon I appreciate everything I learned from you and how to hunt for you love you like you my brother man this is Jim Henry I miss you have a good one

I've only known Leon for a short time, maybe 2 years. For a while he and I attended the same Sunday School class at Stock Creek Baptist Church. We also shared breakfasts together at the G&D Deli, along with many other fine peoples. The thing I always noticed about Leon was his willingness and urgency to talk about Jesus, The Word, and God. He was not bashful about his Lord at all. He blessed us at Stock Creek for a while, but then I guess it was time for him to return home to Blessed Hope Baptist Church. The last breakfast he and I had; his testimony was sure of his readiness to go home to heaven. He shared this with me repeatedly, and others as well. I did not realize just how close to his eternal home, he was. Knowing Leon briefly has been a pleasure of mine. Sympathy and God's blessings to his families.

Went to Vestal with Leon, grew up playing with him, riding bikes, jumping the railroad tracks and just doing what young boys do as they are growing up! Sorry for the families loss!! PRAYERS FOR YOU!! Robert (Bobby) Carrell

Leon Tinsley was 6months 10days younger than I. 
We grew up being friends when we were young. 
We made Pot Holders and Sold them door to door for .25 cents. We took our Funds and Rode the Bus from Ogle Street to Gay Street only to go see a Movie at Bijou Theatre, we were maybe 6yrs old. We rode our Tricycles from Top of Candora to turn right quickly to go down the hill bypassing Railroad Track ahead. We went to Elementary School together. Our Childhood was adventure filled with friends like David Hill, Gene Fox and  Junior Clabough. 
I moved away and lost connection with him, only to see him if my Family returned to Visit his Mother, my Mamaw Tinsley.
He grew up and had Family I didn't know. His daughter passed, and I couldn't attend Funeral as I had New job and couldn't get off. 
He grew Up to be a Man with  Family and Grandchildren that he adored. He remained in contact with his Youngest Sister, Jean King.  Christmas 2021, Leon told her it probably would be his last time seeing her. I missed seeing him due to a Dinner commitment  with Amanda's Friend and Mother, their 3rd Christmas without Father and Husband. 
It is with Great Sorrow that I missed this Christmas Event with Family a Month has not yet gone by, Leon has Passed.
Regret isn't Forgiveness but I want All of Leon's Family to know that I am Truly Sorry for not knowing him and them better.  
Please Take Time to Be with Each Other as God only Knows, Hebrews 9:27. Seek and find Jesus as Savior. Know Him and make Him Lord. Know He Loves Us as God First Loved Us and Chose
