Brenda Joyce McNeil

Brenda Joyce Marshall McNeil - age 83 of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother who was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Fred McNeil, and her parents, Herman and Beatrice Allmon Marshall. Brenda is survived by her children, Robert William McNeil, II and wife Robin, Martin Anthony McNeil and wife Andrea, Christopher Ryan McNeil and wife Jia-Li; grandchildren, Robert McNeil, III, Nicholas McNeil, Tyler McNeil, Caleb McNeil, Jessica McNeil, Ada McNeil and Ryan McNeil.

She graduated from Fulton High School in 1958 and worked in various administrative positions at Sears, Watsons and The Associates. Brenda was a talented artist, painter, and calligrapher who enjoyed creating arts and crafts. She also enjoyed reading mysteries, especially Agatha Christie novels featuring Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. By far though, Brenda was a kind and gentle woman who enjoyed being with her family the most.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 17th with the funeral to follow at Berry Lynnhurst with Pastor Seth Hammond officiating. A graveside service will take place Friday, October 18th at 11:00 am at Lynnhurst Cemetery, meeting at the graveside at 10:45 am. Pallbearers are Robert McNeil II, Martin McNeil, Christopher McNeil, Robert McNeil III, Nicholas McNeil and Caleb McNeil.
