Bobby Wayne Cox

Bob was Operations Manager with Atmos Energy and served the Southeast region for 35 years. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir. Bob was an excellent golfer and enjoyed being out on the course. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Preceded in death by parents, Clayton Eugene Cox and Cleta Nadine Monday Cox; brothers, Gordon, Ronnie and Mickey Cox; son, Charles Eugene Cox and son-in-law, Ron Whitten.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Cox; daughters, Sandra Underwood and husband Randy, Kathy Whitten, Mary Koester and husband John; Jennifer Harvey and husband Kevin; son, Matthew Cox and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Paul (Katie) Underwood, Philip Underwood, Mary Ruth Whitten, Jenny Lynn Whitten; Ben (Bailee) Koester, Katherine Koester, Elinor Harvey, Colin Harvey, Mattilda Cox, Alice Cox and Emmylou Cox; great-grandson, Waylon Underwood; brother, Cotton (Sheila) Cox.

Family and friends will meet at 2:30 pm Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Thorngrove Cemetery for graveside services. Rev. Reggie Weems officiating.
