Bobbie Jean Johnson, age 97, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at home on Thursday, September 19, 2024. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Bobbie was a dedicated employee of Ma Bell, South Central Bell and AT&T where she retired after 38 years of faithful service. In her younger years, she enjoyed tennis, travel and the beach. Bobbie always had a special place in her heart for children.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Joseph "Joe" Preston Johnson. Bobbie is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, god daughters, and friends that love her and will miss her spunky spirit greatly.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 24th from 11am to 12pm with funeral service at 12pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with committal to follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev. Gary Crotty to officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
