Betty Jane May

May, Betty Jane Beatty 89 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at her home after a lengthy illness Monday, November 27, 2017. Jane attended Clinton High School where she made lifelong friends that kept in touch through all the years. She retired from Avon as a Regional Sales Director after 20 years of faithful service. Jane loved to travel in her RV and was an avid UT Vols fan. She was a true entertainer and loved to host gatherings at her home. Jane lived her life to the fullest and was fiercely devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Peggy Stainbrook; son, James Ronald “Jimbo” Beatty; children’s father, Jim Beatty; late husband, Charles Deadrick May. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Beatty-Griffin, Patty Beatty Frank; grandchildren, Jody (Lexie) Griffin, Chris (Katie) Beatty; great grandchildren, Bay, Addie, Asher and Izzie Griffin, Aden and Jameson Beatty; sister, Judy (Gary) Stark-Rees; nephews, Tyler Stark, Casey Stark; a host of additional family. Family will like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Kendra Hendon, the staff at DeVita Dialysis Center and Amedisys Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion for Jane.
