She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted R. Cox, Jr.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Susie McGee (Mike); grandson, Alex McGee (Megan) and granddaughter, Emily Loden (Nick).
Born in Pontiac, Illinois, Betty moved to Hawaii after graduating from high school. There she met and married the love of her life, CWO Ted R. Cox, Jr., USCG. After Ted's retirement from the military, they settled in Knoxville. After Ted's death in 1986, Betty moved to Panama City Beach, Florida where she lived for 30 years and taught school through Bay County School Systems. Betty lived a wonderful and adventurous life and made lifetime friends along the way.
The family would like to thank Avalon Hospice, Knoxville for the wonderful care given to Betty and her family.
A private burial for immediate family will take place at Berry Highland Memorial.
