Bernice Bridges, 75, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Lydia B. Maloy; husband, Maurice Bridges; children, Lloyd Bridges and Cathy Currier; and brothers, Jack and Mack Maloy. She is survived by her son, Johnny Bridges; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lana McCarter; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 6-8pm at Berry Funeral Home (3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920).
