Barbara Harrison Hopkins

BARBARA HARRISON HOPKINS age 77 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 55 years and was very involved in the church serving on many committees. She loved traveling all over the world and was a member of many clubs and organizations such as Smokey Mountain Hiking Club and American Business Women’s Association. She was a U.T. graduate. Preceded in death by parents, William and Imogene Harrison. Survived by loving husband of 57 years, Billy E. Hopkins; children, David Harrison (Luann) Hopkins, Kimberly Hopkins (Greg) Gheen and Gina Hopkins Johnson; grandchildren, Joshua (Becca) and Sam (Whitley) Johnson, Kelsey, Alexander and Caroline Gheen, Kendall and Jonah and Mason Hopkins; great-grandson, Wyatt Johnson; brother, Charles (Jewell) Harrison; sister, Alice (Bill) Malone; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Weaver’s chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Mark Braddom officiating.
