Five years ago today,  we lost you from this present world... but the best is yet to come ; we are closer than ever to seeing you again in our next life, and for all eternity!  Can you believe my husband of 55 years turned 75 today?  Where does time go?  We are very glad you are with the Lord and not living in the current chaos all over our world these days.  Any day Christians will be caught-up with Jesus in the air... along with those  sleeping  in Christ and those still breathing earthly air.  We all long for that celestial air of Heaven!  To see Jesus and our redeemed loved ones is such joy we cannot even comprehend...but I for one am so ready.   Our time here is short, whether at the Lord's coming or God calls us home individually,  it is very near at hand.   You and your three daughters used to talk simultaneously,  back in the day, and we will do all the again in the very near future! Still we miss you for now,  and eagerly stand ready to fly away very soon!  Love, Cherie

Mom,  it's been nine months since our beloved son,  Jeffrey, left this earth,  bound for Heaven,  and all his loved ones, gone before him.   I know by now you have found each other,  and realize how very much we all miss you both...along with your parents, grandparents, great-grandparents,  siblings,  numerous relatives and dear friends.
One day soon, we too, will join you.  What a glorious day that will be!
Like the song says,  "when we all see Jesus,  we will sing and shout the victory!".  
At your Celebration of Life service, two years ago,  I just knew in my heart,  your grandson would not be far behind you.  He had many struggles here in life,  but now those difficult times are gone.  What a comfort, to know he is with you, in the presence of our Lord now,  and forever more.  
We miss you both terribly, but so  glad you don't have to be secluded somewhere in a hospital or nursing home...in the midst of all the turmoil happening now.    God never put us through that kind of separation, for which we are so thankful!

No one can replace you and Jeff in our hearts.  We will never forget all the precious memories we shared in this lifetime!

We eagarly look forward,  to meeting you and Jeff,  when He  calls us home to live eternally happy together.  No more tears, no more   pain, no more sorrow. 

Until that day, we will all love and miss you  both beyond words.  
You still live in each of our hearts and minds daily.

P.S.  Often I see you in the mirror... in a glimpse, only to realize that is only your "oldest daughter"!  Now,  even I can see your reflection in so many areas of my life!  That blesses me Mom.

I still remember the times I would come over to play in the pool as a young kid. Also you always let me hang around in the kitchen even though I did not know how to do anything. Thank you for showing me your love and affection for so many years. Im not going to say goodbye, but I will say I look forward to the day that I can join you in heaven.

To Cherie and family, I am saddened to hear of your loss. My condolences to you all. I will keep you all in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to The Hamilton Sisters and family. My memories of mama Shaffer go way back. We have all moved forward in many directions but the memories we share from back in the day will always be held close to my heart. To my dearest friend Cherie, there are no words to ease this pain, but one thing you have taught me is that faith can get us through anything.  May God give you all the strength to get you though this difficult time. I love you my friends! God Bless.

My very favorite memory of Mother was the day Teresa and I took her to a restaurant in Sarasota,  FL.  I drove,  with Mom in the front passenger seat.  Teresa was in the back seat behind Mom.   We were about to leave the restaurant,  when Mom tried to adjust her seat.   Before I could tell her the right one to use, she had already pulled the wrong lever.  This, in  a FLASH,  laid her out flat on her back,  facing Teresa upside-down from her lap!  We all laughed so hard we cried and couldn't stop.   Every time we recalled that incident,  Mom would laugh & cry tears all over again!  It is such a happy memory.  

We all loved her very much and  she will be missed beyond words.
Can't wait for the big reunion in Heaven with you Mom! We were blessed to have you as our Mother.
