Walter Andrushko

Andrushko, Wolodymyr (Walter); Peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Sunday June 16, 2013 in his 92nd year. Loving father to his sons Lawrence and Roger and his wife Lia. Grandfather to Jody, Jason and Olivia and great grandfather to Emma and Elena. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his family in the Ukraine. Predeceased by his wife Anna Andrushko, his sister Anna Didach and one brother and sister in the Ukraine. Walter came to Canada in 1948, was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration and was known to be an avid chess player. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 131 Victoria St. S. on Friday June 21, 2013 at 10am with the Very Rev. Volodymyr Yanishevsky, Dean officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
