I remember Steve as a kind, gentle soul. He was always quick to laugh and share that laughter with others. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. 

I was sorry to read that Steven had passed away.
I knew Steven and we became friends in grade school at Ellesmere Public School when he lived on Shropshire in Scarborough. When Steven moved to Kitchener we became PenPals for years, always kind.

I don't know where to begin...
Steve was my best friends father. I met Steve when  I was in grade 7. He always took kaitlyns friends in as his own. I spent countless weekends at Steve's home having sleepovers with Kaitltn. My fondest memory with Steve is when my mom a single mom couldnt afford to send me away for a week to the cottage, but Steve said that didnt matter and took Kaitlyn and I horse back riding, go karting, rented water trampolines and made it a week to remember, minus me getting posion ivy and having to come home early. I will forever miss his kind gentle soul. I promise you Steve I will forever be there for your girl and grandbabies xox. Love you Papa Steve

Our fondest memories of Steve:   His Wedding Day to our Niece Cheryl and the birth of their Daughter, Kaitlyn,  and always, always referring to Cheryl's Mom & Dad, Patsy & Cyril Winsor, as Mother and Father who loved him dearly. I certainly did not know him as well as a lot of other people but enjoyed chatting and working with Steve at the Speedway.
He was a very kind person and man he could help.out if I had computer issues!!
I'm shocked and stunned by his sudden passing but thankful that I knew him.

One of the first people that I met when I started at Full Throttle Motor Speedway was Steve.  I often have to spend 3 hours without a break in the announcer booth.  Steve was the only one that ever stopped by and asked if there was something that he could get for me.  Its the small things that those around you appreciate.  

Steve was a great friend. Like many others I work with Steve at Economical Mutual for several years. I always remember his bag of Chips constantly on his desk. We had many laughs, parties and get togethers shared. We were equal golfers. Always carrying extra balls. Shared many Christmas Coffees at work and luncheons. His smile was incredible, his eyes also smiled. I met a few of his family and send heart felt sympathies to all of them. You will definitely be missed by all.


I worked with Steve at Economical Insurance for many years. Great guy to work with and a great guy for a laugh and a giggle. Had many smoking breaks at Eco on Westmount (out back in the smoking area) with Steve. Condolences to his family and close friends.

To the outside world we all grow old. But not brothers and sisters. We know each other as we've always been. We know each other's hearts, we share private family jokes, we remember family feuds, secrets, griefs and joys. We live outside of time. (Clara Ortega)

I already miss your smile and hugs - I will be forever grateful that each of our phonecalls ended with us reminding each other of how much we loved each other - those sentiments are now suspended in time forever!

Thank you for the generous gift of explaining the world of computers to me so that I could continue to write and for simplifying your explanations so I could understand how to apply your instructions.

I know in the next few days I am going to learn how you impacted the lives of your friends and I will grow to more deeply appreciate your impact in this world, Steve.

Not quite sure where to start... You were my boss at Victoria Street Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, my first love, the father of our beloved Son. Thank you for the greatist gift you gave me, your love and our son...
You wore so many hats! Your kindness and compassion for all walks of life has always impressed me. The fact that you looked at people in the positive and not the negative makes you the humanitarian that you are... I'm so very proud of the fact that we remain friends and co-parented our Son " Justin James Robertson" throughout the years with continued dialogue and conversations up until your passing... I will miss your impish grin and the  dance in your eyes....It has been a pleasure being your wife, partner and mother of your child. Rest well dearest Steve xo 

I worked with Steve for many years at Economical Insurance. He was such a kind and gracious man. Every morning he would walk passed my desk and say “morning darlin’” and it always made me smile. Steve was the type of person who was  genuinely liked by everyone. My deepest condolences to his family. 

I grew up on Owen Avenue in Kitchener, just 3 doors down from the Robertsons'. Their home was always a welcoming place and Steve was a big part of that.  I can remember it like it was yesterday.

I'm not going to say goodbye, because it's not goodbye. I take comfort in knowing that you will always walk with us in tough times and in good, the way you have always done. You are the kindest person I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and I'm sure that everyone reading this post will say the same. Even better than that, you are my Pops, now and forever.

My sister and I will forever honor your legacy, and our children will always know your love and compassion. I will be asking you for your advice and guidance often as I begin the journey of fatherhood in November.  I know that you will be there with us when we welcome your newest grandchild into the world, and for all of the important moments that will follow.
