Steve passed away at Grand River Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife Heather, his sons Daniel (Tamara) Scott (Fiancé Emily). Brother Wayne (Joanne)and sister Jo- Anne McLachlan. Steve will be missed by his mum in law Olga Baker sister in laws Betty Thiessen (Frank) Zonya Maciesza ( Rick) his precious nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his loving parents Lorne and Theresa Burton and brother in law Archie McLachlan. Steve has enjoyed his life and has spent time over the years coaching Kitchener Minor hockey, and enjoyed Friday night Ranger games with good friends. Steve has served with Ray of Hope and over the years served in his place of worship Creekside. Steve has also enjoyed traveling going to many beautiful places in the world. Steve worked as a Financial Advisor and enjoyed serving each one of his clients and developing wonderful relationships with them. Special thanks to all the wonderful and caring doctors who helped Steve through this battle with cancer. A special Thank you to Dr Maurice and Dr. DeCarolis. Stephen’s family will receive friends and family at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener on Monday July 30th. from 2-4 , 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery,Guelph.
