Rosaleen Sararas Gross

Passed away at Innisfree House on Thursday, January 26, 2017, in her 107th year. Beloved wife of the late Carl Gross. Dear mother of William (Linda) of Niagara Falls and David (Mary) of Wasaga Beach. Loved grandmother of Melanie, Julie, Sara, and Lisa and great grandmother of Griffin, Allison, Oliver, and Rosalee. Predeceased by siblings Lloyd, Beulah, and Pearl. Rosaleen cherished her family and many friends. She made friends easily, loved to laugh and had a positive attitude. Her gratitude was legendary as were her Dutch apple pies. The Blue Jays were her baseball team and she followed them faithfully. She was fiercely independent for as long as possible and then she managed to accept the changes caused by failing health with grace. We will miss her smile, her sense of humour and her love. Always in our hearts. Rosaleen’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 10:30 – 11:15 am, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:30 am. Luncheon to follow. Interment to take place at Woodland Cemetery. Many thanks to the friends and staff at Parkwood Suites who made her stay there very enjoyable.
