Raymond Arthur Fowler

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret McGillivray (1987) whom he married September 1, 1951 in Kincardine. He will be sadly missed and remembered by his children Sandra and Paul Sasso and William and Diane Fowler. Proud grandfather of Sean (Briar), Kevin (Shannon), Allison (Isaac), Kyle (Trish) and Sara and great-grandfather of baby Isla. He was predeceased by his parents William and Lola, brothers Robert, and Archie and wife Leslie Wolfhard (2012). Ray was born and raised in Walkerton. He served in the RCAF following which time he attended The University of Toronto graduating in 1952 with a Bachelor of Applied Science- Chemical Engineering. He enjoyed a 35 plus year career with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. He was a long-standing member of t. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kitchener and formerly served on the Board of Directors and as an Elder. He was a member of The Professional Engineers of Ontario and a 68 year member of Saugeen Lodge #197 Walkerton. Ray was an avid golfer and curler and past member of the K-W Granite Club and Westmount Golf and Country Club. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place in Kincardine Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the staff of The Westmount LTC for their exceptional care, compassion and support over their past 3 ½ years.
