Mike passed away peacefully at Freeport Hospital after losing his courageous battle with cancer with his beloved life partner Dorine Cherry by his side.
Mike will be sadly missed by his daughter Mandy, stepchildren Chris (Amber), Amanda and Shannon Cherry. Grandfather of Jenna, Brittany and Emma Nieman, Tianna, Roane, Riley, Ava, Cameron and Kayden Cherry all of Kitchener.
Dear brother of Glen (Sharon), Lorraine, Louise, Steve (Karen), Rick (Kathy), Susan (Larry), Dan (Dianne), Jamie, and Adam (Liz). Also loved by his many nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law of Dawne Adams.
Mike was predeceased by parents Ellen and Harold, sisters Connie and Fern, stepson Tim Cherry and brother-in-law Tom Leek.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge (655 Wabanaki Dr., Kitchener) on Saturday, September 24 from 11 am - 4 pm.
