Maletic Magda: It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, baka and pra-baka on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Drago Maletic (1993). Dear mother of Petar Maletic (Katica), Josip Maletic (Barka), Marica Laslavic (Nikola) and Barb Lesic (Joe). She will be lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren and her thirteen great grandchildren as well as many relatives here and in Croatia. Magda was the last surviving member of her family. Magda was born in Croatia in 1913 and came to Canada in 1976 . No matter the curves on the road of her life’s journey she responded with courage, patience and faith. She was a woman of great strength, strong faith and an inspiration to all that knew her. She will be fondly remembered for her remarkable kindness, empathy and warmth towards others. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Croatian R.C. Church. Friends and relatives will be received at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9. Parish prayers will be recited at 8:30 pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Holy Family Croatian R.C. Church, 180 Schweitzer St., Kitchener at 10am with Fr. Terry McGuire officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre or Holy Family Croatian Church would be appreciated by the family.
