Dear Jack, Ann, Betsy, Frank and Ruth.  Many years have passed since I last saw Linda - probably in Parkhill at Ausable Springs.  I am saddened by the news of her passing.  This evening I listened to Fifth Estate on the computer because I missed the documentary re. Haiti.  I wanted to hear about Betsy's involvement.  Then I decided to 'Google' the Wall name, etc.  This is when I discovered the recent happenings.  Although I do not know Stephen, Caleb abd Christian, I send condolences.  May you find strength in the memories you carry with you of a life well lived.  To Jack and Anne, I can't imagine the loss you feel.  May you find true comfort in our Heavenly Father and His complete care for each of us.  To Betsy, Frank, Ruth and your families, I wish to send my sympathy.  The loss of a sibling is also a most difficult experience.  May God bless you as you lean on Him for strength and comfort.

I only really had a hand full of encounters with Linda, but our spirits are truly kindred. I've thought of her often and fondly over the years as we've shared some deep conversations and connected so strongly at various family gatherings. She had a magnetic, kind and free soul. 

Sending strength and courage to you & her children to face forward into the future where you will feel the warmth of Linda's light shining through at the most unexpected moments. A mothers love has the amazing ability to transcend time and space. This, I know.

Dear Stephen,
As you know, Valerie and I moved from Ft Lauderdale Florida to Kitchener Ontario.  Needless to say, we were struggling to adjust to life in Canada and its climate. We didn't have friends or family to guide us.  Linda was the first person to sincerely extend her friendship to Valerie.  Shortly after, our regular homesick monolog melted away once Linda connected Valerie to all things warm, beautiful and memorable in Ontario.  She literally transformed our lives by introducing us to you, her wonderful friends, great resources, restaurants, equestrian culture, etc.  She even taught my wife how to dress warm while looking cool.  The news of Linda's passing has really struck Valerie and me.  There is a lump in my throat as I write this.  Yet Linda remains very much alive in our hearts.

It has been hard to see someone with such a zest for life fight this long, hard fight.  We enjoyed very much reviewing the photos here in the album.  They hardly touched the surface in telling her rich story.  We were so glad to have shared a small part.  Take courage.  Let her advice help you throughout your lives. Dear Stephen, Jack, Anne and family,

We are deeply saddened to hear of Linda's passing. We want you to know what a splendid comforting companion she was more than a year ago in Grand River Hospital when our daughter Kristine shared a room with Linda. The two of them got on very well, and although Linda was keenly aware of her own failing health, she expressed genuine joy at Kristine's miraculous recovery.

We pray that God will, in His own good way, grant you comfort, healing, and serenity during this time of loss. We grieve with you, and we celebrate the wonderful way in which Linda touched our lives, however briefly,
