With heavy hearts the family of Joseph Michael Schmidt announces his passing at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in his 71st year. Cherished husband to Marilyn. Joseph will be profoundly missed by his sons Paul (Michelle) and Jeff (Trinda). He leaves precious memories with his grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Alexandra and Liam, and with his siblings Dan (Anne), Mary (John), Gwen (Peter), Janice (Stuart) and Bill (Colleen). Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Stella (nee Folmer), and by his siblings Jerry, Sharon, and Mike. The Schmidt Family will receive friends at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Rd., 519-743-8900), on Friday, February 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Redmond at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 305 Laurentian Dr., on Saturday, February 7, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery.
