Born June 12th, 1933, she was the devoted partner of Roy Hergott for an incredible 70 years. Jane's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Jane is survived by her three brothers: Robert Rahn, and the late Barrie Rahn and Jack Rahn. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Penner, and her husband Max. Jane is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kim Rieck, and her husband Tom Rieck, along with her grandchildren Alexis Hinchman and Todd Rieck, and their respective families, including two great-grandchildren, Emery Hinchman and Logan Rieck.
A seasoned traveler, Jane explored the world alongside Roy and friends, embarking on Mediterranean cruises, visiting the enchanting landscapes of Italy, marveling at the pyramids of Egypt, experiencing the charm of Ireland, and savoring the beauty of Canada's east coast. For many years, Jane found joy and tranquility at Sauble Beach, spending cherished moments at Carson's Camp surrounded by friends and family. These were times filled with laughter, love, and the simple pleasures of life. An avid reader, Jane always had a book on the go and one (or more) to share. A love for card games matched this, and she delighted in teaching her family new games, creating enduring bonds through shared experiences.
Jane was a loving supporter, offering comfort, encouragement, and unwavering support. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and warmth.
Jane Alice Hergott will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. May she find eternal peace, surrounded by the love and fond memories she created during her remarkable journey through life.
Family will receive guests on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre for visitation from 10am to 11am. Funeral Service to follow. Jane will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
