Gail Elizabeth Schaefer

Gail was born November 1, 1953 in Cambridge, Ontario to the late Carl and Mary Kurt. Gail will be dearly missed by her children Michael, David (Christie) and Peter (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother to Nolan and Riley. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Brian Schaefer. Gail was the loving sister to her late siblings Murray and Barb. Her loss is deeply felt by sisters Linda and Debbie as well as brother Allen. Many nieces and nephews will fondly remember their Aunt Gail. Sherry Cook devoted her time to lovingly and compassionately care for Gail. Gail worked faithfully at Butler Metals until her retirement. Family was the most important thing in Gail’s life and she was completely devoted to her children. Growing up, they knew she was always willing to drive them to activities and she proudly attended their events. She especially lit up when spending time with her grandchildren. Some of her favourite times were enjoyed at family picnics. Gail loved travelling and special memories were created on trips to Florida and the Caribbean. Gail was able to see beauty in everything and would often remark that something was pretty.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Autism Ontario.

An intimate family service has taken place and interment has been held at Williamsburg cemetery.
