KOEHLER, Catherine Johanna Maria – With sadness and gratitude for her long life, Catherine’s family announces her peaceful passing at the Village of Winston Park on Monday October 16, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late David Koehler(1993). Dear mother of Joann Koehler, John Koehler (Barbara Andrews) and Kate Erickson (Larry). Proud Grandma of Alex, Deana, Lauren (David) and Joel, and Great-Grandma of Sam. Catherine was a longtime member of the choir at Blessed Sacrament Church and her musical gifts will be missed.
The Koehler family will receive friends at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. South, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers will be recited at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener, with a reception to follow in the church hall. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Blessed Sacrament Church . Catherine’s family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Melanie Carothers, as well as the staff and residents at the Village of Winston Park (Egerton) for their care, friendship and support over the past 5 years.
