Calvin Jackson

Jackson, Calvin J. – It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Calvin Jackson on September 1, 2013 at the age of 82. Devoted husband to the late Beryl. Left to celebrate his life is his son Wayne (Donna) Jackson, grandchildren Melanie (Ron) Friesen and Ryan (Sarah) Jackson, and great-grandchildren Hayden Litwiller; Sierra, Savannah and Sienna Friesen; and Kyleigh and Keeghan Jackson. Predeceased by his son Lloyd Jackson, Calvin was the last surviving sibling of 8. Born in Port Dover, Ontario on October 18, 1930, Calvin spent his early years in Kirkland Lake working with the Ontario Northland Railway (ONR). He later moved to Kitchener in 1963 and worked with Epton Industries until his retirement. Calvin was a very committed and faithful man to his family, friends and animals. He loved his cats and even cared for the neighbourhood strays. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 5 from 7-9 pm and Friday, September 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener. 519-745-9495. Funeral service on Saturday, September 7 at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Memory Gardens. Reception following burial.
