I only became aware last evening, when visiting friends, of Beckie's passing.  I don't know how I missed the death notice.  To say the least I was shocked. Beckie and I first worked together when I was responsible for Diversico in the late '80's.  She was a very special person and people have already attested to her many wonderful qualities.

My sincere condolances to Scott and the rest of the family.  May she rest in peace.

As you may know, butterflies can't fly unless the air is sufficiently warm. Beckie was special and created warmth around her all the time, and thus she
flew in her own special way 365 days a year. She was always there with a smile, kind words, helping hands and if necessary, telling us what we needed to do and when. She was a delight to work with and I thank her for all she did for me over the years. We'll all miss you Beckie !

Our thoughts are with Beckie's family in this difficult time. We know how many lives she touched and made brighter.

Beckie was a very special lady, she had a unique way of connecting  with people and made every one around her feel special. We will miss you.

Dear Scott, I am very sorry for your loss. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.

When I met Beckie 25 years ago, we did a lot of shopping and she always told me she didn't like anything I tried on. Recenty, she confessed that she lied on those shopping trips to save me from the perils of Mastercard.

That was Beckie Lou...always looking out for you, wanting what was best for you, putting the needs of others ahead of her own. And so funny! She could draw you in with the sweetest words in her sweet voice one minute, and shock you into laughter with her quick wit the next.

That girl had a heart of gold. I am so grateful she had Scott to share it with. I know she lives on in our hearts, and we are better for having known her.

Beckie was truly one-of-a-kind.

She displayed inspirational levels of positivity and courage in the face of incredible adversity.

The world was a better place for having had her in it.

As she would want, I try to remember and focus on the good memories and good times.  Yet...I still miss my friend so much.

Hi Scott, The Cavanagh Family and The Large Family.

I am truely sorry to hear about Beckie. I have many found memories about Beckie when I lived in the KW area and was friends with Scott and Beckie. Their house was always open for a BBQ, drinks on the deck, and of course the drinks after summertime baseball. The last time I saw Beckie was likely at Scott's 40th birthday party, several years ago. She was smiling and laughing with her friends. Of course she was very much in love with Scott and it showed that day. She will be missed but that is how I remember her; laughing and smiling. I am sorry not to attend the memorial service next week but I will be thinking of you all on Tuesday. God Bless

There is so much to be remembered about Beckie.  On a practical note, I know Beckie was greatly admired for her high degree of competence and professionalism at Sun Life.  Beckie was highly organized in everything she did, professional and personal, to a degree that left many of us in awe.  I think she had her Christmas shopping completed each year before many of us had started ours. :-)  She was always well prepared for any contingency.  Even on shared vacations, if one of us had forgotten something or needed help for some ailment, we knew we could ask Beckie and she would probably have it covered.  Not only did she take good care of us, but her planning brought us together for many happy occasions.  I thank her for that. 

Beckie was kind and generous.  She was always ready with a smile, and quick to offer help or encouragement to anyone who might need it.  She was a very caring person, and had a way of doing those extra little things for people that made us all feel special.

I will miss Beckie's soft voice and gentle spirit.  I will also miss her laughter, sense of fun, and spark of mischief.  Girls' night won't be the same.  I will always hold my memories of her close to my heart, and I will continue to treasure the stained glass that hangs in my window in remembrance of her continued presence.

Scott, my heart breaks for you.  I only wish there was some way I could ease the pain of your loss.  You truly have been Beckie's chivalrous and gallant knight from the very beginning.  I hope the knowledge of that, your happy memories, and knowing that friends are thinking of you bring you comfort and strength.

There are so many things I will miss about Beckie...her capacity to celebrate the moment, her willingness to lend a helping hand, her ability to research and uncover the unique and fun...in items, events and the people she met.  

Most of all....how she made you feel the time spent with you was truly the most important thing she could be doing at that moment.  There is a lesson to be learned in her wise graciousness to others.    I know I will try harder to cherish my relationships and will always treasure the memory of my dear friend.

I pray the welcoming party was in full attendance upon Beckie's arrival....and that she is truly enjoying the next chapter of her journey.
